What is WE-NEO?
Speedrun leaderboards built exclusively for the Neo Geo AES+. Every board starts empty at console launch, so every record is up for grabs — whether you've been running games for a decade or you're picking up a Neo Geo for the first time.
When do the boards open?
When the console ships. Until then, signing up as a Founding Memberreserves your spot: you'll get a permanent Founding badge when the boards go live, and we'll email you the moment they open.
What hardware is eligible?
Real hardware only: the Neo Geo AES+ or an original AES, with original controllers — no emulators, no FPGAs, no keyboards. Runs are recorded on video (a phone pointed at the screen is fine) and submitted with a YouTube or Twitch link.
How does verification work?
Every submitted run is reviewed against the published rules for its game before it appears on a board. The full standard is on the verification page.
What does Founding Member status get me?
A permanent badge on your profile marking you as one of the first — plus first-in-line access when the boards open. It's free, and the option disappears once the console launches.
